Monday

This morning we woke up and had eggs and bacon and pineapple and smoothie for breakfast! Then we went to school. We both had a good day, and we were playing outside when Grace picked us up. We went back to the house for a snack, and then we wanted to go to the park, but it started raining again! We waited for a little while, but it didn't stop. We even played in the rain some, but it was VERY muddy. We came inside and cleaned up, then decided to go to Books-a-Million. We played with the train set and some light-up duck key chains, and we read a lot of Tonka books. We played with some other kids, too. One little girl was not very nice to us, but we were still really sweet to her.

We got home late and had tacos for dinner, read a book together on the couch, then went to bed!

*Last night Harris woke up several times in the early morning hours. He seems to be having trouble sleeping. Sometimes he goes right back to sleep, but sometimes he has a little trouble. Both boys seemed to be feeling better over all today.

Sunday

We woke up early this morning and had Eggo's for breakfast! After that we watched some Backyardagins and relaxed a little bit. After a snack we played outside; Harris and William raced their loader and fire engine around the porch, and then pretended they were garbage men! William helped clear a lot of leaves. A little gray kitten bounded out of the woods and dashed up the steps to where we were playing; he meowed a lot. We got him some water and the boys named him Poodle. He purrs all the time and tries to get into the house whenever we open the door.

After a lunch of chicken noodle soup and crackers, we took a nap. When we woke up we decided to go jump on the trampoline at Grace's, but it started raining on the way there. We played in her house, though. We played a racing game, looked at Graham's old pinewood derby cars, and played with some horse dolls, tossed a ball, exercised, and played on a key board that can make sounds like any instrument! We ate dinner there, too. We had hot dogs and green beans and rice and milk, and William tried a piece of crab cake (and liked it). Both boys tried some hot sauce, too, but they didn't like it very much.

After dinner we went home and took a bath and read a few books and went to bed. We hope you had a good day, too!

Saturday Night

After we wrote our last post, we tried to call, and we left you a message. The boys are a little sad, and so we decided to leave you some pictures, and William wants to leave you some music. (I'm doing a picture search for the things they want to send, then letting them pic from the top 10 results.)

William wants to give you some colors:

This is a goodnight because we couldn't reach you on the phone. We love you and miss you and will talk to you in the morning!

Saturday

We woke up this morning at 7:30! Both boys went to bed with no problems. Grace was laying down on the couch when Harris woke up and asked to be put in his crib. After that, Grace laid Harris's bed. William woke up several hours later and got in the bed, too, then went right back to sleep. For breakfast we ate French toast and pineapple. After that, William went to play outside, and the alarm went off! It was very loud. After that we got dressed and went to Grace's house for a little bit and had some craisins and almond clusters. After that we went to Sam's Club with Grace's mom. It was cloudy outside. We had pizza there, and had a lot of fun shopping. We also got some milk for the house.

When we left it started raining really really hard! We laid down at Grace's house for a little bit, and Harris took a short nap, but William couldn't sleep. We came home once the rain stopped, where we had some milk and grapes. We played putside, then inside, then took at bath and had an early dinner of rice, peas, broccoli, cheese, and tuna. Then we had a reading marathon, and read 8 books!

Now we're about to call you and say goodnight. Harris's nose has been running a lot, so we're trying to get some extra sleep by going to bed early. We also got two sticks of chap stick from Grace's mom with our names on them, and some special lotion for William's chapped lips.

William wants to say we got groceries today. He says "Don't let the bed bugs bite." He says we read and we read and we read. He says we saw Bosco and Bella and Bo and Bach today.

Harris wants to say he had pizza. He wants to tell you he didn't use the toilet today. He also says he sang at Sam's. He sang the Better Better song. Tonight we read The Sailor Dog. He says he only saw one cat, Bo.

Friday Night

William wants to say goodnight. He says “I love you.” He says “Don’t let the bed bugs bite.”

Harris says goodnight! He says we’re about to read a book, maybe The Sailor Dog.

Friday

This morning we had scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, and pineapple for breakfast! We got to school at 8:05; William showed us where to turn and how to ring the buzzer, then he went to his classroom easy-peasy. Harris didn't want Grace to leave at first; he was a little sad. One of his teachers talked to him, though, and he was okay after that. They were picked up at 3:00; they were outside playing. We went to the Water Wheel Ice Cream Shop to celebrate a good day. William had cherry-vanilla in a cone and Harris had vanilla in a cup. They watched the water wheel spin, which then churned the ice cream. On the way home it started raining really hard; we had to race to the breezeway to get out of the storm. We played for a while and listened to the thunder before we decided to watch Racing Stripes. Now we're about to eat a broccoli and cheese quiche before taking a bath and going to bed. Tomorrow should be an exciting day, too!

William says to tell you about his Highlights calendar. We drew a heart around Tuesday, and we're crossing out the days until you come home. He says in school today he play play play play play play played. They learned about writing. He also says we play play played at home.

Harris wants to tell you he played in his class and ate pizza and it made him feel better. He was good, so he got some more pizza. He says "I love you."

Thursday

We had a great view of the airplane! William and Harris blew dozens of kisses as they watched you board. The propellers were loud, but they boys weren't afraid. Harris got a little sad when the plane took off, but he recovered quickly and was cheerful on the ride home. We ate rice, peas, and tuna for lunch, then took a nap! When we woke up, William got a little sad when he remembered you weren't here, but he felt better after a good cry. After a smoothie snack we went to Grace's house to get her toothbrush and pajamas, then we went to Riverfront Park. We saw some blue herons on the water and walked on the pier for a bit. The playground was very fun; we dug in the sand, raced down the slides, flew in the swings, and played monster all around the equipment. Back at home we ate tortellini with peas and milk before going to bed. We read What Does My Teddy Bear Do at Night, and both boys drifted off pretty quickly. Harris woke up several times- it seems like he might even be talking in his sleep!
